Appearance:
Light is of Japanese appearance with slightly tousled medium-length, dyed auburn hair and dark brown eyes. He is tall and slender with an athletic build. Many women have considered him attractive, his smile being one of his most discernable physical features.
He tends to dress conservatively, his wardrobe mainly consisting of immaculately ironed trousers, collared long-sleeved shirts and leather shoes. During cold weather he would wear his cotton trench coat and sometimes a scarf. During summer, despite the heat, he could still be seen wearing one of his long-sleeved shirts.
Personality:
Light is outwardly a pleasant person. He is polite and sociable, usually having no difficulty getting along with the people around him. Charming even; there is always a plethora of females eager to make his acquaintance. He is also well-spoken and assertive, unafraid of speaking his mind.
Highly ambitious and intelligent, Light is a hardworking, quick-witted analytical thinker as well as an optimist. He uses his sharp mind to make the most out of any situation. His optimism might also relate to his ambitiousness - he does not allow anything to interfere with his goals so he does whatever he can to achieve them. However, he does not mind admitting that he is a sore loser, believing that in the end he will always succeed in what he does.
Light also has a strong sense of justice and a great distaste for criminals and anti-social people who disturb the good people of this world. He believes that all wrong-doers should not be allowed to roam so freely within society. He also believes that the law is often too lenient on them.
Abilities/Weaponry:
Light is an extremely intelligent and gifted young man. He has a natural ability to analyse and deconstruct situations as well as solve them almost effortlessly. One could say that his weapon is his mind.
Weaknesses:
Although he hides it well, Light tends to be overconfident and cocky. His ego cannot handle losing.
History:
Light grew up in a family of four: his father, mother and younger sister. They immigrated to Italy when he was thirteen but only settled in Allupato in his final two years of school.
He comes from an affluent background, having only attended the best private schools that money can buy. He grew up a seemingly normal child, though he was a highly gifted one at that, having completed high school with the highest mark in his grade as well as achieving a score of 100% for his university entrance exam. He is currently in first year of university, in which he is studying a combined Law/Arts and Humanities degree (and is acing it with flying colours).
Before the Chrysalis began controlling the police force Light would occasionally assist his father in his work, his father being a chief police officer. However, this stopped when Light's father resigned from the force in protest of the Chrysalis' new methods of operation.
